Anamorphic streak filter, stretches highlights into a horizontal flare.

A streak filter has a cylindrical element set into the glass that stretches point lights into a long horizontal flare — the same effect anamorphic lenses produce. Headlights, street lamps and reflections off a bonnet get that cinematic line across the frame, with no anamorphic glass required.

On the BlueMorphic that line is blue — nobody has to chase the flare colour in post, it happens in the glass itself and shows on the monitor during the take. The glass is fully encased in a CNC-machined aluminium surround, so it is never touched by fingers on the way into the matte box and the holder jaws cannot scratch it.
