Panasonic LUMIX S 14-28mm F4-5.6 MACRO Bulk

Version without colour box. The LUMIX S 14-28mm F4-5.6 Macro lens (S-R1428) is the next addition to the affordable LUMIX S family: it complements the 20-60mm F3.5-5.6 (S-R2060) and 70-300mm F4.5-5.6 Macro O.I.S. (S-R70300) to cover a wide range of focal lengths from ultra-wide (14mm) to telephoto (300mm). All of these lenses offer very good optical performance for still and video photography at great mobility and low acquisition cost, and are ideal companions to the S5/S5M2!

The optical system of the lens consists of 14 elements in 10 groups including one aspherical, one aspherical ED (Extra-Low Dispersion), three ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) and one UHR (Ultra High Refractive Index) lens. The use of precision ED lenses ensures good suppression of colour defects, while the aspherical elements contribute to very good drawing even beyond the depth of field. Despite its compact dimensions and light weight (approx. 345 g), the lens offers a macro photography capability of 0.25x (at 14 mm focal length) - 0.5x (28 mm)! With a minimum focusing distance of 15 cm throughout the zoom range, it allows you to take beautiful close-ups with handsome drawings even beyond the depth of field. It can be equally well used for landscape and architecture photography/shooting.

With a quiet and fast autofocus system (up to 240 fps), smooth exposure changes and breathing suppression design features, the lens is also suitable for shooting video. The switchable focusing ring response (linear/non-linear) and sensitivity in the range of 90-360 degrees also contribute to its enhanced ergonomics. The lens offers the same length and placement of controls (at a similar weight/weight) as the LUMIX S 20-60mm F3.5-5.6 for easy interchangeability within camera rigs.
