Tilta Nucleus-M Motor Toggle (replacement screw)

Tilta replacement toggle screw for the Nucleus-M motor rod mount. It is the part that tightens the wireless lens control motor onto a 15 mm or 19 mm rod — and at the same time the small piece most easily lost on set. The stainless steel thread in the aluminum toggle tightens by hand without tools and, once swapped, holds the motor on the rod as firmly as the original screw.

The toggle screw for the Nucleus-M motor rod mount replaces a lost or damaged original. Without it the motor rod mount (Nucleus-M Rod Mount) cannot be tightened, so a spare in the bag saves a stoppage mid-shoot.

Tightening the motor on the rod by hand

The toggle screw runs through the motor rod mount and closes its jaws around the 15 mm or 19 mm rod. The toggle gives enough torque that the motor won't slip under the load of the lens gear ring, yet it loosens by hand when the motor needs to move or come off. The thread is stainless steel, the toggle aluminum alloy — a combination that takes frequent tightening without stripping. The part matches the original in size, so a swap means only unscrewing the old one and screwing in the new.

What it fits

The screw belongs to the Nucleus-M motor rod mount (WLC-T03-MRA) and to the Nucleus-M motor supplied with that mount. As a spare it pays off mostly in multi-motor sets, where the mounts often move between rigs.

Nucleus-M (WLC-T03 series) is wireless lens control: motors on 15/19 mm rods turn focus, iris and zoom, the FIZ hand unit or hand grips with a wheel drive them remotely, and power runs over 7-pin cables — from a P-Tap plate or daisy-chained motor to motor.
