The RØDE NTG8 is a long RF-bias shotgun microphone with highly focused pickup for distant dialogue, sport, nature and professional production.
Exceptionally focused pickup
The long interference tube and supercardioid line-gradient pattern strongly reject off-axis sound.
Very low self-noise
Just 8 dBA self-noise and high 97.5 mV/Pa sensitivity preserve detail even when recording from greater distances.
Complete location kit
The package includes an SM8 shock mount, WSNTG8 windshield and robust RCNTG8 storage cylinder.
Designed for real-world production: The microphone is 559 mm long and requires 48 V phantom power; use suitable wind protection for boom operation.
