The RODE NT3 microphone is literally the embodiment of the definition of a "studio workhorse." Thanks to the 3/4" gold-plated condenser capsule, it provides incredible detail on almost any instrument that can be recorded in the studio.

However, the NT3 is very versatile, and not just in the studio – this great "three-quarter inch" can be used in a variety of live applications, e.g. as a vocal or presentation microphone, and when mounted on a stand or boom pole, it can be used for stage or local recording. It also delivers great results when recording drums, percussion, acoustic instruments, or guitar speaker cabinets.

A major benefit of the microphone is its versatility, even in applications where phantom power via a mixing console or other P48 power source is not available. Using a 9V battery, the NT3 can easily operate for up to 400 hours (tested with a high-quality alkaline battery).
