Product description

The NimbleTech EZCast ProAV over Ethernet Transmitter ET02 is an AV-over-IP transmitter for transmitting video, audio, USB, IR, and RS-232 signals between a source and compatible ER02 receivers. The built-in hardware encoder supports Full HD at 60 fps; the HDMI 2.0 input and local HDMI lookback output support up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 Hz. Transmission over Cat5e/Ethernet can be extended up to 180 m.

The system supports 1:1 extender, 1:N splitter, N:1 switch, M:N matrix, USB KVM, and up to 255 Smart Channels. The ET02 uses Gigabit Ethernet and 12V power and offers HDMI in/out, USB 2.0 Type-A, AUX in, IR out, RJ-45, and RS-232. Each display in the installation requires its own ER02 receiver.

Transmitter for flexible AV-over-IP distribution

The ET02 connects an HDMI source to the EZCast ProAV system. Local HDMI lookback allows you to view content directly at the source, while the network delivers video, audio, and control signals to ER02 receivers.

Scalability Based on Installation

  • 1:1 Extender: ET02 and ER02 connected directly via Ethernet.
  • 1:N Splitter: One source to multiple displays via an L2 switch/router.
  • N:1 switcher and M:N matrix: source switching by channel; the manual specifies configurations up to 15 × 15.
  • Up to 255 Smart Channels; each display requires its own ER02.

Control and Integration

  • KVM: A USB keyboard and mouse connected to the ER02 control the computer at the ET02.
  • IR-out for remote source control; RS-232 for control signals.
  • Stereo audio over IP from HDMI or AUX input.
  • CMS for Windows/macOS and web-based management via a compatible receiver.
