Nikon EN-EL25a Battery

Genuine Nikon EN-EL25a rechargeable lithium-ion battery for the compact Nikon Z50II, Z50, Z fc and Z30 mirrorless cameras. At 7.6 V it offers a capacity of 1250 mAh – about 10% more than the older EN-EL25 – and makes a handy spare for trips, photography and vlogging. It is charged in the MH-32 charger or directly in the camera.

10% more capacity

The EN-EL25a is a compact rechargeable lithium-ion battery with high capacity for long operating life. It replaces the original EN-EL25, which has the same shape, and thanks to the higher capacity you get more stills and video per charge without adding size or weight to the camera.

Camera firmware

To use the EN-EL25a battery, the camera needs up-to-date firmware: Z fc “C” firmware version 1.50 or later, Z50 “C” firmware version 2.50 or later and Z30 “C” firmware version 1.10 or later. The Z50II works with it without an update.

Charging

Charge the battery in the Nikon MH-32 charger or directly in the camera: in the Z50 via the EH-73P charging AC adapter, in the Z30 and Z fc via the EH-7P charging AC adapter.
