The NC5MD-L-1 is part of Neutrik’s versatile line of D-size metal-body panel-mount XLR connectors. The five-pin version is used where the standard three-conductor configuration is insufficient—for DMX lines, stereo connections, intercoms, or powered microphones.

The connector is a male version, i.e., with pins. The conductors are soldered into the sockets, and the mating connector is secured by a latch. The body is made of die-cast zinc with a nickel finish, and the contacts are silver-plated.

The panel cutout is a standardized 24 mm D-size, so the connector can replace any other panel-mounted XLR of the same format. The design is UL-listed and complies with the IEC 61076-2-103 standard.
