The Neumann KH 120 II AES67 is a compact, high-precision 2-way active studio monitor designed for professional recording, mixing, mastering, and broadcast environments. Featuring a 5.25-inch woofer, Mathematically Modelled Dispersion™ (MMD™) waveguide, advanced DSP processing, and fully redundant AES67 ST 2110 Audio-over-IP connectivity, it delivers exceptionally accurate imaging, linear phase response, and reference-grade sound reproduction in a nearfield format.
The Neumann KH 120 II AES67 is a next-generation professional nearfield studio monitor engineered for maximum accuracy, transparency, and consistency in critical audio production environments. It is designed for recording, post-production, broadcast, and music creation workflows where precise monitoring and reliable translation are essential.
At its core, the system features a 5.25-inch high-precision woofer and a 1-inch tweeter housed in a front-ported bass reflex enclosure. This configuration delivers a linear frequency response from 44 Hz to 21 kHz (±3 dB), providing extended low-frequency performance while maintaining exceptional clarity and detail across the entire spectrum. The Mathematically Modelled Dispersion™ (MMD™) waveguide ensures controlled directivity and razor-sharp stereo imaging, even in less-than-ideal acoustic environments.
The integrated DSP engine enables advanced signal processing, including linear phase response from 120 Hz to 16 kHz (±45°) with ultra-low latency below 2.6 ms. This allows for precise crossover control, system optimization, and seamless integration with Neumann’s MA 1 Automatic Monitor Alignment system for room-adaptive calibration and acoustic correction.
A defining feature of the AES67 version is its fully redundant Audio-over-IP architecture compliant with ST 2110 standards. It includes dual Ethernet ports (100Base-TX) with ST 2022-7 redundancy, ensuring reliable operation in professional networked audio infrastructures. The system supports RAVENNA and NMOS IS-04/IS-05 protocols for discovery, registration, and connection management, making it ideal for modern IP-based studio environments.
With extremely tight manufacturing tolerances of ±0.5 dB, the KH 120 II AES67 delivers exceptional imaging precision, tonal consistency, and stereo accuracy. It achieves a maximum SPL of 116.8 dB while maintaining low distortion and high clarity, making it suitable for both nearfield monitoring and immersive multi-speaker setups.
The monitor can be freely integrated with other Neumann KH series speakers and subwoofers for stereo, surround, and Dolby Atmos configurations, ensuring a scalable monitoring solution for modern production facilities.
