Sennheiser CHG 4N EU charger

The Sennheiser CHG 4N is a charger for four SpeechLine Digital Wireless, AVX and D1 transmitters using BA 10 and BA 30 batteries. It charges four batteries at once in any mix of handheld and bodypack transmitters and shows their state on four LEDs. It reaches seventy per cent in an hour and a full charge takes about two — so it can top up between two conference sessions. Charging is CC/CV for lithium cells, and the unit watches temperature and capacity, revives a deeply discharged cell, detects both under- and overcharge, and switches off after eight hours. Over IPv4 or IPv6 it can be monitored in Sennheiser Control Cockpit.

Four transmitters, one socket

The CHG 4N charges four BA 10 or BA 30 batteries at once, in any mix of handheld and bodypack transmitters. Seventy per cent takes an hour, so a top-up fits into the break between sessions.

Visible from the control room

The charger reports over IPv4 and IPv6 and is monitored in Sennheiser Control Cockpit along with the rest of the installation. A technician does not have to walk to the rack to find out whether the batteries are ready for tomorrow. Meanwhile it watches temperature and capacity, revives a deeply discharged cell, and switches off after eight hours.
