Talos is a magic arm built as an exoskeleton: the outer frame takes the load while a damped joint runs inside. The arm therefore does not let go all at once but pushes back — a monitor or light can be nudged into place with the lever released, without the whole thing dropping into your lap.

The joint does without teeth. Classic magic arms rely on serrations that wear down with every tightening and eventually skip; the smooth disc of the Talos wears far more slowly. The patented hinge design also removes the jamming common to friction arms after prolonged tightening.

Quick-release screws open and close in one movement, so the arm can be repositioned with the camera still in hand. Locating pins hold the module exactly on axis and stop it twisting under load. The end module is interchangeable — it ships with the 1/4″-20 joint, and a NATO clamp, NATO rail, 15 mm rod, baby pin and UNC-1/4 mount are available separately.
