The Metabones 1.26x Expander for Nikon F-Mount G-Type Lenses to FUJIFILM G-Mount GFX cameras is designed for professional photographers who want to adapt full-frame Nikon F lenses to medium-format GFX cameras. This adapter enlarges the projected image from the Nikon lens by 1.26×, avoiding vignetting and maximizing the apparent angle of view on the GFX sensor.
Constructed from lightweight aluminum alloy with brass mounting rings, the expander is built for durability and precise fit. It contains five high-index lanthanum-based glass elements in three groups, ensuring superior optical clarity, minimized distortion, and excellent color fidelity. Infinity focus is fully maintained, while a matte black interior coating reduces internal reflections for cleaner images.
For lenses without an aperture ring, the adapter includes an integrated 8-stop aperture-control ring with half-stop increments, giving full control over exposure. Nikon AI and many post-AI lenses can also be adjusted using their built-in aperture rings. A detachable Arca-type tripod foot with 1/4"-20 threads allows stable mounting of heavy lenses on tripods or other support systems.
This adapter is fully mechanical and does not support electronic communication between camera and lens, making it ideal for manual photography with legacy or professional Nikon lenses.
