The Meike 24mm f/1.4 Pro is a wide-angle prime for full-frame Nikon mirrorless cameras with the Z mount. It combines a fast aperture, sharp rendering and versatility across a wide range of conditions — from reportage to the night sky.

Optical design and performance

The 15-element, 12-group design suppresses chromatic aberration and distortion while holding resolution into the corners. The f/1.4 aperture gives strong low-light performance and precise depth-of-field control. An 84.8° angle of view on full frame covers sweeping scenes and tight interiors alike.

Autofocus and controls

Focus is handled by an STM stepping motor — smooth, fast and quiet, so it suits video as well. The lens has a manual aperture ring from f/1.4 to f/16, an AF/MF switch and a programmable focus-hold button. Eleven diaphragm blades render round highlights and soft out-of-focus backgrounds.

Build and dimensions

The barrel measures roughly 79 mm in diameter and 107 mm long, weighing about 560 g. The metal mount seats securely and the 72 mm front filter thread accepts standard filters. A minimum focusing distance of 0.28 m allows close work. A lens hood is included.

Compatibility

The lens has no optical stabilisation of its own and relies on in-body stabilisation. Besides Nikon Z, the model is also available for Sony E and L-mount.
