The Lilliput 3G-SFP-LC-RX optical receiver is an SFP module that accepts an SDI signal from optical fibre and converts it back to an electrical signal. It handles 50 Mb/s to 2.97 Gb/s (SMPTE 259M, 344M, 292M and 424M) including SDI pathological patterns and, paired with the matching transmitter, carries video over single-mode fibre for up to 12.4 miles (20 km).

An SFP module with an LC connector and a PIN photodiode that converts optical SD, HD and 3G-SDI back to an electrical signal. It works as a pair with the 3G-SFP-LC-TX transmitter.

About the product
Consisting of two sections, the 3 Gb/s Video SFP Optical Receiver features an MCU control unit and a PIN photodiode integrated with a trans-impedance preamplifier (TIA), with both modules satisfying class I laser safety requirements.
Further features: PIN photodetector; metal enclosure for lower EMI; support for video pathological patterns for SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G-SDI; non-MSA pinout; digital diagnostic functions available through the I2C interface; compatible with the SFP Multi-Source Agreement (MSA) and SFF-8472; RoHS compliant; 3.3 V single power supply. The module is fully compliant with the SMPTE 297M-2006 standard for SDI over fibre.
