Hollyland LARK MAX 2 Camera Receiver

The Hollyland LARK MAX 2 camera receiver in Space Gray receives audio from up to four LARK MAX 2 transmitters and passes it to the camera. A display, three programmable shortcuts, automatic gain control and wireless monitoring to OWS earphones make it the control centre of the whole setup. Use it as a replacement or as a second receiver for another camera.

With the hot shoe adapter, sold separately, the receiver connects directly through the hot shoe of selected Sony cameras without a cable. With other cameras the audio runs through a 3.5 mm cable.

Shortcuts your way

Set three shortcuts on the receiver, for example gain, channel mode or timecode. One-press RX Lock prevents accidental screen taps.

Monitoring without a cable

The receiver sends camera audio wirelessly to OWS earphones up to 100 m line of sight, so the camera operator can move freely.

With the hot shoe adapter

On supported Sony cameras the receiver sits in the hot shoe with the adapter, and the cable between receiver and camera is gone.

Automatic gain control

Three gain levels (high, medium, low) are complemented by intelligent AGC that adapts the output level and prevents clipping and distortion. Preset optimal gain settings match the receiver and camera levels.

Timecode

Frame-accurate timecode runs through both the 3.5 mm and UAC outputs and makes syncing in post easier.

11 languages

The receiver menu and the LarkSound app are available in 11 languages.

20 ms latency

2.4 GHz adaptive frequency hopping keeps the delay between transmitter and receiver at 20 ms.

12-hour runtime

The 300 mAh battery lasts approximately 12 hours and recharges in about 1.5 hours.

Monitoring the camera. Transmitters A and B send the voice to the receiver, the camera returns audio via USB-C, and the receiver passes it wirelessly to the OWS earphones.

Action camera and memory card. When shooting with an action camera, audio goes from the receiver via USB-C to the camera and its memory card, while the OWS earphones listen directly to the receiver.
