Elgato Wave DX

The Wave DX dynamic microphone from Elgato is designed for podcasters, streamers, and content creators. It is designed to deliver audio performance similar to condenser microphones, but without unwanted noise.

It features a tolerant cardioid polar pattern for unidirectional pickup and a stronger-than-usual output signal, so you can achieve a full, rich sound without the need for in-line microphone amplifiers.

The frequency response is specially tuned for the human voice, and the optimized proximity effect allows for easier close-up pickup for full and rich-sounding vocal recordings. This microphone is the ideal choice for modern content creators.

The Wave DX features an internal pop filter that significantly reduces explosive sounds (plosives) during recording, and a hardened steel chassis that increases durability and reduces internal noise artifacts.

The microphone includes an adjustable swivel yoke mount with a 5/8" thread, compatible with all arms and designed to prevent cable blockage. The package also includes 3/8" and 1/4" adapters for mounting on classic microphone stands.

Magic capsule
Developed in collaboration between Elgato and Lewitt, the Wave DX's dynamic capsule is exceptional— it captures sound with the detail and sensitivity of a condenser microphone, but without the excessive noise that is often associated with them. With natural bass and smooth highs, the Wave DX offers a balanced sound that is unusual for dynamic microphones, while effectively suppressing ambient noise.

Broadcast-ready
The precisely tuned frequency response range reproduces the voice faithfully and without coloration. This makes the Wave DX ideal for creating your own distinctive sound without the need for external effects or equalization.

Velvety voice
An internal pop filter, made of acoustically optimized nylon fiber sandwiched between two layers of foam, effectively reduces popping sounds.

Rotating logo
The Wave DX microphone canbe mounted on either side, and the logo can be rotated so that it always looks right on camera. This gives you the freedom to present yourself exactly the way you want.
