Product description
The DZOFILM Pavo 55mm T2.1 is a 2× anamorphic cine prime for Super 35 (31.5mm image circle). After de-squeeze it delivers a 2.39:1 widescreen frame, horizontal flares in the Neutral version and oval bokeh. It has an interchangeable PL/EF mount, an imperial focus scale in feet and inches and weighs about 1,262g. The lens is 108.4mm long.
The middle of the 28–100mm six
The 55mm sits in the middle of the Pavo 28–100mm six-lens line-up and suits medium close-ups of characters, where the background already falls off into oval bokeh. Its 95mm front diameter, M86 thread and 0.8 gears match the other Pavo lenses, which speeds up lens changes on set.

The classic anamorphic signature
Horizontal flares and oval out-of-focus highlights give the image a widescreen cinema look; the fast T2.1 helps at night and in interiors.
Focus from 0.6m
Close focus is 0.6m (2 ft) from the sensor plane, with 270° focus rotation.
16-blade iris
Manual iris with 63° rotation, range T2.1–T22; the 16 blades deliver the classic oval bokeh.
Built-in back-focus adjustment
The back focus can be fine-tuned precisely while the lens is mounted on the camera.
Full frame with the Marlin 1.6×
With the DZOFILM Marlin 1.6× expander (sold separately) the lens can also be used on full-frame cinema cameras.
PL mount
With the PL mount and its 52mm flange distance the lens fits cinema cameras. The focus scale is imperial (feet and inches).
EF mount in the box
Besides the PL mount, the box includes an interchangeable EF mount with a 44mm flange distance, plus a screwdriver and shims for the swap. The Pavo Interchangeable Mount Kit for the 28/32/40/55/75/100mm focal lengths is sold as a spare part.
