Product description

A DZOFILM education set with three full-frame cine lenses: the Catta Ace 35–80mm T2.9 zoom and the Vespid Prime2 18mm and 24mm T1.9 primes. Together they cover 18–80mm, and all three have an 80mm front diameter, an M77 filter thread and 0.8 gears, so one matte box and one set of filters serve them all. Metric scales, black case for three lenses.

Two fast wide primes and a standard zoom cover the focal lengths used most in teaching and on set – establishing shots, interiors, medium shots and details.

One filter size for the whole set

All three lenses have an 80mm front diameter and an M77 thread, so one clamp-on matte box and one set of screw-in filters serve the whole set.

The Catta Ace 35–80mm zoom and both Vespid Prime2 primes cover Vista Vision and full frame.

2.3× zoom

The Catta Ace 35–80mm holds T2.9 and focuses from 0.74m, with 270° focus and 100° zoom rotation.

T1.9 at the wide end

The Vespid Prime2 18mm and 24mm are only 80mm long and weigh around 0.8kg; they pass lens data via Cooke /i.

The Catta Ace takes an interchangeable PL, EF or LPL mount; the Vespid Prime2 lenses are PL.

A 2.3× full-frame cine zoom at T2.9 with a 46.5mm image circle (VV/FF). It has 20 elements in 15 groups, focuses down to 0.74m and has a 16-blade iris, 270° focus and 100° zoom rotation. The mount is interchangeable (PL, EF, LPL); weight about 1,635g.

Vespid Prime2 18mm T1.9

The widest lens of the series covers Vista Vision and full frame (46.5mm), focuses down to 0.25m with up to 1:7.6 magnification and uses 15 elements in 12 groups. Like every Vespid Prime2 it is 80mm long; it weighs about 766g.
