Each lens maintains focus throughout the zoom range, ensuring smooth, reliable performance during dynamic shots.

The Catta series is known for its natural color reproduction and smooth focus-to-defocus transitions. Featuring a constant T2.9 aperture across the zoom range and stopping down to T22, both lenses provide excellent low-light performance and exposure consistency. A 16-blade iris produces beautifully soft, cinematic bokeh, while minimal focus breathing maintains framing integrity during focus pulls.

Designed with true cine mechanics, both lenses offer 270° focus rotation for precise control, 100° zoom rotation, and wide iris rotation ranges (75° on the 35-80mm and 80° on the 70-135mm). The lenses feature 0.8 MOD gears for compatibility with professional follow focus systems and an 80mm front diameter with M77 filter thread support. The native Sony E-mount is interchangeable with optional RF, L, X, and Z mounts for expanded camera compatibility.
