The Simera-C series offers focal lengths of 21mm, 28mm, 35mm, 50mm, and 75mm, covering a spectrum from wide-angle to medium telephoto to suit various shooting scenarios. With a constant T1.5 aperture throughout the series, these lenses excel in diverse lighting conditions. The ultra-shallow depth of field adds dramatic depth and spatial separation to each frame, while the ample light intake supports high-frame-rate shooting, ensuring rich tonality and texture even in low-light environments. Each image captures emotion and poetic nuance, embodying the essence of cinematic storytelling.
Simera-C · five matched cine primes
This set combines 21, 28, 35, 50 and 75mm lenses with native Sony E mounts. All five focal lengths share a T1.5 aperture, 16-blade iris and consistent mechanics for fast changes on a compact cinema rig.

Both focus and iris rings use standard 0.8 MOD gears, with their positions aligned across the set. Changing focal length therefore avoids rebuilding the follow-focus setup, while the small differences in length and weight reduce gimbal or slider rebalancing. A 210° focus throw supports precise manual pulls and careful control of shallow depth of field.
The constant T1.5 aperture supports low-light and high-frame-rate work. A 16-blade iris creates smoother, rounder bokeh, while aspherical, low-dispersion and high-refractive-index elements provide detail suitable for 8K production. Vacuum-deposited and multi-layer anti-reflection coatings, together with a matte-black interior below 3.5% reflectivity, reduce flare and ghosting.

The range covers wide environments, reportage perspective, a natural standard view and portrait detail. Higher contrast, neutral colour rendering and controlled chromatic aberration help maintain a coherent look from centre to edge. The 43.2mm image circle covers full frame and also supports Super 35 and APS-C formats.
The aluminium lens bodies weigh approximately 369–491g each, making the set suitable for handheld cameras, gimbals and drones. Its compact dimensions benefit travel and documentary work, while dust- and splash-resistant construction supports demanding locations. The size also enables DJI Focus Pro, Ronin 4D and DJI FLEX workflows. The complete set travels in a hard aluminium case.

Simera comes from modern Greek for “today”; the range combines the immediacy of a stills lens with the mechanics required for cinematography. Every lens undergoes quality control and micron-level manufacturing intended to reduce chromatic aberration and astigmatism.
Focus and iris are entirely mechanical, with no electronic contacts. Distance scales are marked in metric and imperial units. Native Sony E mounting supports a broad selection of mirrorless and cinema cameras, including Sony Venice and DJI Ronin 4D.
