The DJI Ronin 4D Flex is a versatile extension unit that detaches the Zenmuse X9 camera from the Ronin 4D body, significantly reducing handheld weight and enabling flexible remote-head, jib, and extension-rod shooting configurations.

The DJI Ronin 4D Flex redefines how filmmakers can configure and operate the Ronin 4D cinema camera system, especially in tight spaces or solo shooting environments. By allowing the Zenmuse X9 gimbal camera to be detached from the main Ronin 4D body, the Flex reduces handheld operating weight to approximately 4 lb, improving comfort and endurance during extended shoots. A slim and flexible 6.6 ft integrated cable maintains full communication between the camera and main body, supporting remote control and transmission of video signals up to 8K resolution. The Flex is fully compatible with Ronin 4D handgrips and the High-Bright Main Monitor, which can be mounted directly via integrated adapters and a cold shoe. Multiple mounting threads allow the X9 camera to be installed on extension rods, tripods, jibs, or used as a cinematic remote head. Additionally, a built-in pan-axis quick-lock enables stable static shots and expanded lens compatibility, including telephoto and cine lenses, making the Ronin 4D Flex a powerful tool for dynamic, ergonomic, and highly adaptable filmmaking setups.
