The Core SWX PowerBase Edge battery range is the successor to the successful PowerBase70 models and offers a compact size and V-Mount design for small cameras (e.g. Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K) and DSLR/DSLM devices (Panasonic GH5 etc.). This 14.8V Li-ion battery pack features an 8V camera output, a pair of USB ports and two Power Tap outputs (including one SmartTap)

The 8V port provides power to most DSLR/DSLM devices and small cameras that are normally powered by 7.4V batteries. In addition to the camera, accessories (monitors, lights, wireless transmitters, etc.) can be powered from the Power Tap outputs. The USB ports come in handy when charging mobile devices or powering 5V accessories (e.g. some audio recorders, etc.)

The PowerBase Edge batteries feature an LCD display (with switchable backlighting) showing estimated battery life, which will come in handy especially when powering a camera along with accessories. Like the previous models, the PowerBase Edge series is equipped with a quick release plate for connection under the camera or to a rig/camera cage. And although the batteries are 30% smaller than the PowerBase 70 models, they are capable of powering complete camera rigs as well as larger digital film cameras.
