The Canare TCD-4CA crimping jaws are a replacement part for the Canare TC-1 crimping pliers. They cover the entire range of “C4” connectors—BNC (BCP-B4F, BCP-A4, BCP-A4F, BCP-B31F, BCJ-C4), slim BNC (MBCP-C4, MBCP-C4F), F (FP-C4, FP-C4F), RCA (RCAP-C4A, RCAP-C4F), as well as video patch plugs (VP-C4A, VWP-C4A, MVP-C4).
According to the manufacturer’s cross-reference table, these connectors are designed for use with LV-61S, RG-59B/U, L-4CFB, V-4CFB, L-4CHD, VPM2000, HD PRO 0.8/3.7 AF, and Belden 1505A / 1505ANH coaxial cables. For the same pair of cables and connectors, the manufacturer lists the TCD-451CA crimping pliers as a second option.
A crimped connection is faster than soldering and produces consistent results even without an experienced hand. The pliers feature a square cavity for the center contact and a hexagonal one for the connector’s crimp sleeve.
Neither the TC-1 crimping pliers nor the connectors are included in the package.
