HDMI cables Teradek

HDMI cables are used to connect modern digital devices. It is atwo-way communication, where both devices (receiver and transmitter) exchange, for example, information about the resolution and colour depth of the signal being sent. HDMI transmission is less compatible than, for example, the simpler and more robust transmission for SDI cable, but up to a distance of 10 meters HMDI is mostly reliable. For longer distances, we recommend anHDMI cable with an integrated optical converter (where the direction of connection must be observed - the connector is usually marked DISPLAY on one side and SOURCE on the other.

When choosing a cable, pay attention to the distance and type: the HDMI 2.0 cable is suitable for 4K up to 60fps, the HDMI 2.1 cable for 4K 120fps and 8K 60fps. You'll get an HDMI cable with a classic connector (A), which is compatible with most devices; for portable devices like cameras, you'll typically need an HDMI-Mini connector (C), and for mobile devices you'll see an HDMI-Micro connector (D).
