The RØDE Broadcaster is a condenser microphone designed to deliver top performance in broadcasting and other voice applications.

 Its rich and tuned frequency response with emphasis on the proximity effect makes it the standard in radio stations around the world. It is equally suitable as a voice microphone for film and television.

 The microphone has an internal pop filter designed to minimize plosive sounds that can overload the microphone capsule and distort the audio output. In addition to the 20Hz-20kHz frequency response, an optional high-frequency filter at 75Hz is available to prevent the recording of very low-frequency noise such as air conditioning or road traffic.

 The Broadcaster features an innovative "On-Air" indicator on the body, which can be used to externally activate the "Channel On/Mute" functions on many consoles. When not connected to a console or other switch, the indicator will remain lit whenever the microphone is powered.
