Product description

The BLAZAR Cato 85mm T2.8 2X Full Frame Anamorphic Lens delivers a classic cinematic look in an ultra-lightweight design, making it ideal for professional filmmakers. Featuring a constant 2X squeeze ratio, full-frame 36×24mm image coverage, and support for 3:2 shooting, it produces beautiful oval bokeh, natural silver anamorphic flares, and subtle barrel distortion for an authentic vintage aesthetic. With an interchangeable PL/EF mount system, 210° focus rotation, and precision cinema mechanics, the Cato 85mm is built for modern productions seeking timeless anamorphic character.

The BLAZAR Cato 85mm T2.8 2X Full Frame Anamorphic Lens combines classic anamorphic aesthetics with modern optical performance in one of the world's lightest full-frame 2X anamorphic lenses. Weighing just 927g (2.04 lbs), it offers exceptional portability without compromising professional cinema quality.

Designed for full-frame cameras with a 36×24mm image circle, the Cato supports 3:2 full-frame shooting while delivering the iconic 2X anamorphic look. Filmmakers can achieve beautiful oval bokeh, cinematic widescreen imagery, subtle barrel distortion, and natural silver lens flares that complement virtually any lighting environment, creating a timeless vintage-inspired cinematic style.

Built with professional production in mind, the lens features an interchangeable PL/EF mount system (EF mount sold separately), making it adaptable to a wide range of cinema cameras. Precision focus control is enhanced by a 210° focus throw, while the 16-blade iris contributes to smooth, pleasing out-of-focus rendering. The compact design, 82mm filter thread, and lightweight construction make the Cato 85mm an excellent choice for handheld, gimbal, drone, and studio productions alike.

Whether shooting narrative films, commercials, documentaries, or music videos, the BLAZAR Cato 85mm delivers a distinctive cinematic image with the unmistakable character of true 2X anamorphic optics.
