The CF7 is a 7" (18 cm) diameter Fresnel attachment with a Bowens mount. It attaches to an LED light and transforms its soft, omnidirectional glow into a focused, adjustable cone of light.
The beam angle ranges from 15° at the peak to 40° at the wide end. At the peak, you get a hard, directional light with pronounced shadows—ideal for modeling and lighting from a distance. At the wide end, you can illuminate the entire scene.
The focusing system is double-extending and uses multiple lens elements. As a result, the lens is significantly shorter and lighter than a standard Fresnel lens of the same diameter would be, without compromising the light pattern.
The kit includes eight-leaf barn doors that cut the light out of the frame—toward a wall, the lens, or an actor where you don’t want the light to fall. The set also includes a safety chain and a carrying case.
The dimensions and weight are tailored to the Aputure STORM 400x monolight, with which the lens is compatible via the ProLock mount.
