SmallRig “Night Eagle” Cage Kit for Nikon Z 8 4317B

The “Night Eagle” kit 4317B for the Nikon Z 8 includes a cage, a top handle, an HDMI & USB-C cable clamp and a detachable cold shoe adapter. The brown cage with gold lines follows the design of the Nikon Z 8, protects the body and makes low-angle shooting easier. Accessories attach via 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads, ARRI locating holes, a NATO rail, Arca-Swiss and QD.

The cage wraps around the body including the extended grip while leaving the controls freely accessible. The top handle holds the camera comfortably even just above the ground and hides spare screws inside.

Made for the Nikon Z 8

The cage measures 180.0 × 146.0 × 201.2 mm and weighs 387 g with the handle. Remove the shoulder strap lugs from the body before installing it.

A clamp that flips open

Press the button to flip the cable clamp open and open the interface cover without disassembly. The HDMI and USB-C cables stay securely in place.

Handle with hidden screws

The ergonomic top handle hides a 1/4"-20 screw, a 3/8"-16 screw and two M2.5 screws.

Detachable cold shoe

The cold shoe adapter fits on the top and on both sides of the cage. A positioning pin prevents it from twisting.

Before installing the cage
