The Marshall CV228 Weatherproof Lipstick Camera captures sharp HD video with accurate color reproduction. It features a state-of-the-art Sony sensor, a wide-angle lens with a focal length of 4.0 mm and a field of view of 78.8°, and powerful image processors.

The camera’s extensive features are housed in a durable cylindrical body with a diameter of just 19.5 mm. It also includes a 3-meter breakout cable with 3G-SDIconnectors , an RS485 remote control, and a 12 V power supply. The CV228 is designed for demanding outdoor conditions and environments where it may come into contact with dust, dirt, water, mud, or snow.

Compact Dimensions

Thanks to its miniature dimensions, the Marshall CV228can be placed even in very inconspicuous locations. At the same time, the camera maintains reliable operation in dusty, dirty, or humid environments. Despite its compact design , it delivers a clear and stable image via a full-featured 3G/HD-SDI (BNC) interface , in both progressive and interlaced modes , at resolutions up to 1920 × 1080. The optional CVM-6 mount can also be used for flexible installation .

Advanced Sensor and Design

The camera utilizes the latest Sony sensor and image processor technologies, which deliver superior image performance and extremely low image noise, even when shooting in low-light conditions. The breakout cable has also been improved—the more durable and flexible RG6 coaxial cable is designed to withstand heavy use as well as repeated bending and twisting.

Versatile Placement and Mounting

The Marshall CV228 is equipped with astandard 1/4"-20 thread, which allows for the use of tripods, goosenecks, and other camera accessories. For even greater flexibility, the camera can be combined with the Marshall CVM-6 Adhesive Camera Mount Kit, which also offers the option of mounting via a clip for lipstick cameras.

Flexible Frame Rate Settings and Controls

The camera allows you to select frame rates of60, 59.94, 50, 30, 29.97, or 25 fps at resolutions of 1920 × 1080p, 1920 × 1080i, and 1280 × 720p.

For remote configuration and image calibration, the CV228 supports RS485 Visca control. This allows for precise remote adjustment of image parameters, for example, from a control room, an outside broadcast van, or a broadcast production truck.
