The GenusTech GMB-EXT200FT extension rods deliver essential versatility for video rigs, allowing seamless lengthening of 15mm rod systems used in camera support, matte boxes, follow focuses, and accessories without the need for full replacements. Crafted from high-strength aviation-grade aluminum (6061-T6 alloy, tensile strength 310 MPa), each rod measures 7.9 inches (200 mm) in length and 15 mm in diameter, with a central threaded core (M10 x 1.5 unspecified male-to-female threading) that ensures precise, vibration-resistant attachment to compatible ends—preventing slippage under loads up to 10 kg. The black anodized finish (Type II, 10-15 µm thickness) provides corrosion resistance (salt spray tested to 500 hours) and a non-reflective surface ideal for on-set use, while the lightweight design (total 120 g for pair) maintains rig balance without adding bulk.
