The Canare L-4.5CHWS is a flexible and durable 75-ohm coaxial cable for professional SD/HD/3G-SDI video applications and shorter 12G-SDI runs. Compared to thinner cables, it offers a more robust construction, lower losses, and greater headroom for longer cable runs. It is suitable for camera setups, control rooms, monitoring, studio interconnects, mobile production, and technical installations where signal reliability and durability during frequent handling are critical.

For 3G-SDI / HD 1080p, the approximate maximum transmission distance is up to 90 m, depending on the cable specifications for the given format. For 12G-SDI / 4K-UHD, the Canare catalog lists an approximate maximum distance of up to 50 m. In practice, the resulting reliability may also depend on the equipment used, signal quality, connectors, and the entire setup.
