The Canare L-3.3CUHD is a special 75-ohm coaxial cable for professional 12G-SDI / 4K-UHD applications in accordance with the SMPTE ST 2082-1 specification. It is designed for situations where a 12G-SDI signal needs to be reliably transmitted over longer distances than with standard thinner SDI cables, while maintaining a reasonable cable diameter for practical use in production, studio, or installation environments.
For 12G-SDI, the approximate maximum transmission distance is up to 58 m, depending on the equipment used, signal quality, connectors, and the entire signal path. With a diameter of 5.5 mm and a weight of 4.1 kg per 100 m, the cable is a suitable choice for 4K-UHD connections where a combination of higher transmission capacity and a relatively compact design is required.
