Tamron has announced the development of a new high-speed standard zoomlens for full-frame digital SLR cameras, the 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A036). This signals Tamron's plans to further expand and improve its line of lenses for full-frame digital mirrorless cameras, in addition to lenses for DSLRs and other mirrorless cameras

TheA036 incorporates an all-new high-speed and precise AF drive system. The RXD (Rapid eXtra-silent stepping Drive) stepper motor unitoperates with remarkable silence, making it ideal for video use.The lens featuresamoisture-resistant construction that is useful for outdoor shooting, and a hydrophobic fluorine coating thatishighly resistant to fingerprints and dirt. In addition, the A036 is compatible with Sony's system feature-"Direct Manual Focus (DMF)"-allowing this new zoom to take full advantage of advanced features that ensure a comfortable user experience
