The Tilta TT-0508 XLR Audio Converter is a compact, rod-mounted passive adapter that adds two professional balanced XLR microphone inputs to the Blackmagic Cinema Camera (EF/MFT) and Blackmagic Production Camera 4K by converting them to the cameras’ native 1/4″ TRS jacks – perfect for field recordists who need to use industry-standard XLR mics and cables with these early BMCC models.

Released to solve the biggest audio limitation of the original Blackmagic Cinema Camera and 4K Production Camera (which only feature unbalanced 1/4″ line/mic inputs), the Tilta TT-0508 is a rugged, machined-aluminum breakout box with two female 3-pin XLR inputs and two 1/4″ TRS output cables that plug directly into the camera. Being completely passive (no phantom power), it provides clean, balanced-to-unbalanced conversion with no added noise or power draw. The built-in single-rod clamp attaches to either 15 mm (with included sleeve) or native 19 mm studio rods and offers 22 mm of side-to-side sliding adjustment for perfect cable routing and weight balance.
