The tweeter
The diaphragm of the tweeter is made of natural silk. This is to prevent the audible ringing associated with poorly formed metal material often found in other monitors. The tweeters are fully isolated from the rest of the cabinet. This ensures minimal distortion. This provides a very smooth frequency range up to 35 kHz.
Kevlar woofer
To ensure long life, a 5" woven Kevlar woofer has been created for the BX5 monitors. Kevlar's high mechanical and thermal resistance makes it ideal for use in loudspeaker diaphragms. The engineers also applied a conical curvature that increases room dispersion. Highly reliable damping rubber around provides percussive musical bass. As a result, you get accurate sound reproduction. And the coils used guarantee that the monitors will deliver full performance for hours and hours.
