The BirdDog X1 Bundle Black delivers studio-quality recording and control in a single, production-ready package. Three X1 PTZ cameras combine with the KBD tactile controller to simplify multi-camera broadcasting, streaming, and corporate AV over NDI®, HDMI, or USB-UVC networks.

X1

Each X1 camera uses aSony 1/2.8" CMOS sensor that provides true 1080p60, paired with a 20× 5.5–110 mm lens offering a field of view of 55.8° (wide) to 3.2° (tele). Precision motors enable ±175° pan and –90/+90° tilt at 0.1–80°/s, and 255 presets ensure repeatable movements for planned shots. Outputs include HDMI, NDI|HX2/3, SRT, RTSP, RTMP, and USB-C, with power supplied via PoE or wirelessly via Wi-Fi 5, making installation easy.

AI Auto-Tracking keeps presenters in the center of the shot, a Halo Tally frame clearly visible in daylight signals broadcast status , and a 2.93″ E-Ink panel retains the camera ID even when powered off. The built-in NDI HX decoder allows return video signal or teleprompter over the same network cable. A 64-point color matrix and SNR >50 dB make color matching easy.

The KBD controller is the control center with a four-axis joystick, zoom ring, 6 direct camera buttons, and 10 preset buttons. Its 5″ 1280 × 720 display shows a preview of up to four NDI sources, while PoE and hybrid NDI, VISCA, ONVIF, and RS-232/422 protocols allow control of up to 255 cameras. The rugged construction of aircraft-grade aluminum and ocean-waste plastics, <5 W power consumption, and special foam case ensure reliability even when traveling.

The X1 and X1 Ultra cameras feature the most visible and effective tally system on the market. There is a large frame on the front that is clearly visible even in daylight, and a replaceable illuminated number system on the back. Your actors and crew always know exactly where to look to keep the audience engaged and the broadcast looking professional.

AI tracking

The X1 and X1 Ultra cameras keep the subject in focus thanks to AI tracking technology, which intelligently tracks the subject's movement in real time. Integrated NDI® | HX decoder – easy connection

The X1 and X1 Ultra are the world's first PTZ cameras with an NDI® | HX decoder, designed specifically for control preview, return signals, or teleprompter. All connectivity is reduced to a single cable, radically simplifying equipment handling. Whether you're broadcasting live or preparing a CEO's speech, the integrated NDI HX decoder allows for more options with minimal setup.

Wi-Fi – connected, but without cables

No need to run a cable to every shot. In addition to classic Ethernet with PoE, the X1 and X1 Ultra have built-in Wi-Fi. Easily capture shots from locations where it's difficult to run a cable and seamlessly integrate them into any environment. Your production is now much more flexible.

E-Ink label – be seen

The always-on E-Ink label on the X1 and X1 Ultra is a real innovation. From displaying network addresses for easy access to controls to instant camera identification, this feature ensures that your setup is clear and each camera is clearly identifiable even when the power is off.

Color matrix

Camera color settings are now at a higher level. The X1 and X1 Ultra feature a full color matrix with individual saturation settings for red, green, blue, cyan, yellow, and magenta, all with 64 levels of control.

NDI® PTZ control for iPad and iPhone

Fully control your BirdDog camera with an easy-to-use iPad/iPhone app. Pan, tilt, zoom, save and recall presets, view full-screen camera previews, and access all the tools and color matrix settings of your BirdDog camera.

Built-in tally frames

Pairing and switching cameras is a matter of a single press thanks to tactile buttons with instant response. When integrated with mixing consoles such as TriCaster or vMix, the KBD's built-in tally frame displays the live camera directly on the controller, so you can focus fully on your work without having to watch additional screens.

Camera settings synchronization

A groundbreaking feature in the industry allows you to set up one camera exactly the way you want it and then simply copy those settings to another camera of the same model (BirdDog X series feature).
