The third generation of Rokits, on which the Classic 5 is based, has brought a number of innovations over its predecessors. These include a redesigned Class A/B amplifier with higher output, lower distortion and lower noise. Another significant improvement is a new tweeter that sounds cleaner and has a range of up to 35 kHz. The monitor's cabinet has also been changed to address problems of unwanted diffraction and resonance thanks to more rounded edges. A redesigned bass reflex extends and enhances the lowest frequencies. The monitors deliver a more precise frequency response and richer stereo image.
