Meike 50 mm F1,8 AF at a glance
The Meike 50 mm F1,8 AF is an autofocus 50 mm prime for full-frame mirrorless cameras. Its f/1.8 aperture leaves room to work in poor light and to separate the subject from the background.
Optics and rendering
The optical design uses 11 elements in 7 groups, with a 9-blade diaphragm that keeps out-of-focus highlights round. The aperture runs from f/1.8 to f/16, and the minimum focusing distance is 0.63 m.
Handling and build
Focus is handled by a quiet STM stepping motor, suiting both stills and video. The filter thread is 58 mm and it weighs about 382 g.
